The Montréal Alouettes capped a great season by repeating as Grey Cup champions last weekend, and while most Americans and many Canadians couldn't care less, the Alouettes are the official CFL team of Unrefinery so we took notice. And so did the Archives de la Ville de Montréal, who marked the occasion by posting an awesome Flickr photo set from the Als' 1970 victory parade. While most modern athletes dress deplorably, and while the 1970s were a stylistic mixed bag in the States, these guys look great. Some highlights (shown), left to right: Merl Code rocking an ensemble of khaki, olive, and brown, with some killer cufflinks. Moses Denson and Terry Evanshen, the latter in a kick-ass leather coat and burgundy turtleneck. One of many quality French-Canadian honeys in the crowd.
