You already know that we're not particularly keen on shawl collar pullovers, but what really pisses us off is when some tiny inadequate flap is passed off as a shawl collar on something as inherently great as a cardigan. To be clear, sweaters in this category should have lapels that stand in effectively for those of a blazer or overcoat. Ideally you want big hefty piles of material that rise majestically as high as your ears and will actually, you know, keep your neck warm, which is sort of the purpose.
