How Pitti Uomo kills things

The nature of the annual menswear clusterf**k that is Pitti Uomo is not necessarily that its attention-seeking herds kill trends that already exist, but that it also may demonstrate why something should never be attempted in the first place by way of providing a large number of failed attempts in one location.

Years ago it was double monkstraps. This year the prize is shared by floral jackets and the wearing of same with shorts. For all of the fun we have picking on one-man style cliché Nick Wooster, the fact is that he can pull off almost anything. But this doesn't work on him, and it won't work on the rest of us either.
