Follow-up: stylin' T-shirt colours

In a comment to last week's Varvatos post we lamented the dearth of sophisticated colours available in basics like T-shirts. In response reader Reese pointed us to the "slubby as hell" (and that's a good thing when you like texture) Dean crew at Alternative Apparel. Sure enough, it comes in some great desaturated hues; we particularly like "Elephant" (a Varvatos-like warm grey) and the very pale olive. $28 is still a lot for a plain T-shirt, so shop around; other sites will have them for around half that. Buying elsewhere also lets you avoid AA's home page, which usually looks like someone lined up a few Polaroids of henley-wearing trailer trash and peed on them.
