Consider the linen sweater

Linen appears most commonly in woven fabrics used to create crinkly shirts and jackets for summer, but it turns out you can knit the stuff too. Due to its unique texture and strength linen is capable of chunky, airy open textures, and the resulting sweaters are wearable through three seasons—on their own in the summer, and with a minimal layer in spring and fall.
